I wrote recently about Vedic astrology’s use of remedies for problems in the natal chart. Western astrology has not used remedies as extensively as the Vedic/Jyotish tradition, usually having a more psychological approach to the chart.

Planetary rulers of the days of the week
Sunday’s child is full of grace,
Monday’s child is fair of face;
Tuesday’s child loves to race,
Wednesday’s child is kind of heart;
Thursday’s child is very smart,
Friday’s child will never part;
Saturday’s child is good of heart.
Monday’s Child is fair of face,
Tuesday’s Child is full of grace,
Wednesday’s Child is full of woe,
Thursday’s Child has far to go,
Friday’s Child is loving and giving,
Saturday’s Child works hard for a living,
But the child born on the Sabbath Day,
Is fair and wise and good and gay.”
You may have read one of the two rhymes above in children’s books. Many people do not know it refers to the planetary rulers of the days of the week. In addition to the astrology of your natal chart, there is an astrological meaning to the day of the week you were born.
